Looking for an early CB72 front fender

The frame and engine numbers are far apart, but that doesn't mean it's a later engine. I have seen more big differences between frame and engine numbers in the early bikes.

I also have the early issue 62 CB77. Check the width of the fuel tank, some of these early models had wider tanks than the later models. Also look at the kickstarter. Early models had the skinny kickstarter that was bad to twist and bend. These were beefed up to a larger diameter on the later 62 models.

Check them on a later model for larger dia. kick shaft and narrow/slim gas tank. Swingarm is standard eyelet shock mount but there were some with clevis mounts and standard eyelets on bottom of shocks. LM, any idea on which models these came with? I have one of these swingarms but is on a modified CL77 built from different year models.

CB72.
I've seen one tank which was not the most issued and the area between the cap hole and center seam was apx 1/4 inch wider than the most issued one.
Problem is if ya only have ONE TANK what do ya compare it to?
I've yet to see a CB72/77 with eyelet shocks.
The CL72 did have them and the clevis came along sometime in 1964.
All the CB72/77 kick shafts/arm are the same.
I've seen ones made for other engines but were not for the CB72/77 engine. ..........lm

Took measurements today on my early 62 CB77 and my 67 CB77 kickstart arm and gas tank. Early kickstarter arm measures 12.5 mm, late model measures 14mm. Early gas tank measures 6 1/2 inches across the rear of the tank between the chrome covers. Late model tank measures 5 7/8 inches. I measured 2 late model tanks I have and both were 5 7/8in.. Have pictures I will post tonight showing difference. If it matters, the 62 is a Japanese domestic model.
