hay guys and girls

Got a question, is this plate something that often breaks?

The reason i'm asking is that I showed a tool maker friend of mine the part and he said that maybe he could make it, but that it could end up being quite expensive. He told me that most of the cost would be in setting up, and that you could make a whole lot for not a lot more that the cost of one.

do you think there are others out there looking for these....?

Maybe a silly question but, have you tried your local Honda dealer? I just ran the number on my local dealers website and it's still a good number with a price: $7.01.

As for making/selling, I'm not sure. I think I saw a bunch of these things up for auction on eBay a few weeks back and the seller re-listed a number of times. don;t know if they were ever sold or if the seller gave up.

As for ebay all I can do is hope that if he hasn't sold them he re lists.

Sorry, AHMC says discontinued. Long gone. Don't know who's website your checking, but it's not connected directly to American Honda.

Not sure which post you are replying to, but the link I posted is for an Ebay auction.
