speedometer cable help

I just got a speedometer and got a speedo cable off e bay. The one part of the cable fits fine where it goes into the drive unit but for some reason the end that goes in the speedometer itself lacks the housing that actually screws in to the speedometer. Anybody know why, or have something laying around to sell me. Thanks guys

Steve, that part is not removable, and I can't understand how it's missing. Are you sure it didn't slide down the cable? If it is indeed missing, and new cable is probably the best solution. Try these guys, great prices, fast shipping, and nice people!

I've seen ones that the missing part was crushed and not there.
I think ya need to get your $$$ back. .......lm

Thanks guys. Luckily the guy will do a refund and I outbid a bunch of people on ebay for a correct speedo cable.
