Hi,
I am the happy new owner of a 1966 CB77 and new to this site. It’s an endless supply of great info.
I am searching for a set of correct handlebars for the bike. It has straight bars on it now and I would like to make it as correct as possible. Thanks in advance for your help
Dave

Hey Dave, welcome to the madhouse!
The flat 'bar is correct for the '66 CB77, up to frame nº CB77-1004688. At 1004689 the 'bar was changed to what is described as 'high western style'. Now, you can interpret that description as you wish. Two types of raised 'bar: intermediate and western (I guess); see pics.
Regards and have fun!

Yeah, Ed. Both quite lovely bikes there. Shame the '67 has the thin-wall header pipes; the blueing kind of lets it down.
Is it my imagination, or does that CP have a '61 taillight?

OOPS! I mis-informed you slightly: the frame nºs above are for CB72s. The correct point of change on a CB77 was 1028215; i.e. 216-on had the higher 'bar, Sorry...
And, Ed, I just learned that some CPs had the earlier taillight for a while after it was discontimued on the CB in early '62.
