CL77 CL72 Rear Footpeg wrong/Dream footpeg for sale..CL77 CL72 Rear Footpeg wrong/Dream footpeg for sale..I have a question about a recent purchase, I found and bought a "Honda CL77 CL72 Scrambler New Rear Footpeg / Part # 50720-273-000". It looked exactly like what I have except.... when I recieved it I discovered that it is about 5/8" shorted than the one I was hoping to replace. I didn't realize there might be two different sizes of these.... hmmm... I hadn't seen any thing in the Bill Silver's books but I was wondering if there is any other references available, possible with dimension specifications for some of the different parts? Maybe if someone has the resto guides on CD they can search on foot pegs and see if maybe there is something I missed (this wasn't a cheap lesson). I am debating if I should hang on and try to find a match, quality is great but I would like both to be the same size. Maybe this was an original foot peg which has been "superseeded" by the longer version? Maybe LM knows. 3 & 5/8" vs. 4 &1/4" Thanks. -dc

Re: CL77 CL72 Scrambler Rear Footpeg lengthDid you buy it from italianmetals on eBay? There is a shorter rubber/metal center for the DREAM than the one for the CL72/77. ........lm
Re: CL77 CL72 Scrambler Rear Footpeg length"Honda CL77 CL72 Scrambler New Rear Footpeg Seller:mikescp",
Honda CL77 CL72 Scrambler New Rear Footpeg Part # 50720-273-000 Will fit Honda CL72 CL77. Cross referenced on the cmsnl.com CL72 fiche as: 50720273000 (50720-273-010) STEP ASSY PILLION Note: this part is superseded by 50720273010. It's a bad week for me for rubbers, I bought a kneepad that's a little shorter (3/8") also but I think that will stretch... hehe -dc
Re: CL77 CL72 Scrambler Rear Footpeg lengthThe part number on the tag is for the complete assembly not just the rubber and bar inside it. If it's not the same length as the one on your bike I'd say it's actually for the DREAM rather than the CL72/77. ................lm
mikescp is willing to refund and accept return of this from me, after verifying the size was actually too short to be for a CL. I really thought I had found a genuine new footpeg for my CL72, not that the one I was going to replace was that awful but you really don't see these new too often..... point being some eBay'ers are honest and not as shady as I was starting to think... -dc
Thanks for sharing the good news of a seller with common sense that will Take Care of Business when a simple mistake is made. Way to go mikescap. .................................lm
