Tag - Wiring Harness

Post by deuce_7 » Sun Jul 08, 2018 8:35 am

This forum has educated me on wiring harness details, including a date of manufacture stamp.

My 67 CL77 has its original harness and attached is a white tag with the stamped part number 32110-273-0100 (the last digit 0 is extra from the parts list number; a check sum?).

When looking for a date stamp, none is evident. Am I looking for a two digit number; e.g., "67" ?

It will have four digits. Maybe yours is a replacement harness.

about that time they stopped dating the harness. typically it would have the manufacturer and the date clearly marked. "sumitomo 1965" or something like that.

Pretty sure the harness hasn't been replaced or changed; so Randy's explanation that date codes stopped about that time makes sense.

Thanks all,
