ca77 headlight test

Post by Bob15 » Sun Aug 02, 2015 1:43 pm

Hi all. I just bought a headlight for my ca77 and want to bench test it to see if it will work. Wiring is not my strong suit so can anyone tell me how to hook up 12v power to test?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

Dream Headlight

Loud Mouse, thanks for the info. I tested this headlight and unfortunately it will not work. I was hopeful since it came from a decent 7500 mile bike.

Does anyone know of a source that is retrofitting new bulbs and sockets into these old lights?
I have two excellent looking but non working headlights to use as cores.

I'd be grateful for any additional help.
Bob

Thanks for the link to the earlier post. I found a couple of 35 watt halogen #48220 bulbs and holders on Amazon. It looks like they make a nice installation and don't draw too much power. Now I'll just have to figure out which tabs are high and low beams and which is ground.
