regulator rectifier

Read lots of pros/cons about various replacements. Kohler, Radio Shack, etc.
Anyone tried one of these?

It works and Radio Shack has them for 1/4 that cost.
Just install a ground strap and attach your wires. ....lm

That is only a rectifier, not a regulator. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Some have been adding in the Kohler or other regulator as well. As LM wrote, what you linked to is exactly the same thing as the Radio Shack rectifier except its ready to wire in so less hassle for you. There are also new rectifiers on the market that look just like the old ones but use modern components.

That looks interesting, but not cheap.
I wonder if anyone here has tried one?

The one I posted a picture of? I have used several of them. No problems.

I also sell them and don't think the price of $35 plus shipping is to bad.

I have used plenty of the radio shack rectifiers also and those work just as good at a fraction of the price but if you want to keep the original look and have something that bolts right in then the repro rectifier is the way to go.

Do you know how much shipping to Canada would be for one of those?
