Wiring/Lights

Post by moondoggers » Sun Jan 19, 2014 2:43 pm

I have a 66' 305 Scrambler that is finally running well, when I purchased the bike the p o said I would need to connect the headlight and break light. He said the brake light will need a ground because the the rear fender is isolated from the from the frame with rubber washers.
The headlight is a different story. I have tried using the wiring diagrams available here on the forum several times and each time I end up melting wire.
I could use an assist with is part of the restore so I can ride this machine on the streets.
Any one near North Arizona willing to give me a hand?

Well push came to shove cause I really want to ride this scrambler so I contacted Charlie at Charlies Place in West L.A. and dropped the bike off for a restoration in moderation.
I know my limits and mechanicing is on the list, at this point in life I would like a professional restore for a safe and enjoyable rider.
This is a wonderful forum of Honda enthusiast and I continue to peruse the post as I have learned plenty over the several past months.
