Which black wire goes to the 6 cavity connector?

Post by catterar » Wed Sep 12, 2012 9:30 pm

When I removed the headlight from the '64 Dream I bought on eBay this is how I found the ignition switch.

Which black wire goes to the 6 cavity connector and where does the black wire with the stripe next to the green wire at the bottom of the picture go?

Thanks for any help.

Still Confused

Thanks, I'd looked at those diagrams, but still can't tell which black wire goes to the connector and which goes to the neutral light. Does it make a difference? Both wire connections on the switch are labeled IG.

Get out a multimeter and do a simple continuity check on the actual wires. Pretty easy.

How come the simplest solutions are so easy to overlook. I guess I like to complicate things.

Thanks,

Human nature, my friend! I do it all the time. The bullet connector for the neutral switch is in the cavity behind the carb. Green with a yellow stripe (or vice versa) if memory serves me.
