hello all new to this forum need some help just got done restoring cl77 not charging battery
also 2ed gear skiping in an out any help would be great how to test ect.

cl77 not chargingJust how much of a "restore" did you do? Was it cosmetic or total a tear down? Do a search and you should find some threads on checking the charging system. As far as the 2nd gear problem, if you didn't split the cases and inspect everything, chances are that's what you need to do. 2nd gear seems to be a problem area on these transmissions. Possible causes include worn shift drum, worn shift fork and rounded off dogs on the gears, or a combination of these.
