PILOT LIGHT

Post by pineapple dave » Mon Jun 15, 2009 4:37 pm

I am wiring the headlight bucket but can not seem to find any info. on what the blue ( yes some are clear ) lens cover is for in front of the speedo. When looking at a parts chart it just calls it the pilot light ? I seem to be short whatever the bulb attaches to, just have the lens and the plastic nut to hold it on. What is the light for and what is the part needed for the bulb to sit in ? Thank's almost done, took it for a ride yesterday WOW I love this thing what a beast........... '64 305 pd

The bulb should be in a small 90 degree rubber boot. The bulb sits in the boot, and the end of the boot attaches to the bottom of the blue lens. I think Fast Fred had some new light assembles. I saw someone else use a spark plug boot from something like a small engine.

neutral light

power goes to neutral light from black wire with white collar, then to switch on light green with red stripe. Other wire from neutral switch, inside right case, goes to ground to complete circuit. good luck...
