Starter Motor - replacement Manufacturer's Plate

Post by Phil-UK » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:33 am

Hi All

Anyone any experience of repalcing the maker's ID plate on the CB72/77 starter motors ?
All of mine have damaged plates and I was wondering if anyone has ever had vinyl ones made
up ( or photo-etched ) to stick over the originals ?
With all the fancy stuff possible with modern computer graphics I'm assuming its possible.

thanks

Phil

Are ya aware that HONDA didn't put that tab on all the starter motors for the C/CA/CB72/77's. ...........lm

Thanks Loud Mouse,,

Nope, wasn't aware that it wasn't present on all of them, but all of mine have the plate but
they are all damaged - either the facing has worn off or the actual plate has bits missing.
perhaps it would be easier to just remove it ...

cheers

Phil
