Grounding location

Post by ggray » Fri Dec 14, 2007 5:08 pm

Can somebody tell me which engine mounting bolt the ground strap from the battery attaches to on a '65 CL77?

Are there any other places on the frame the paint (Or powder coat) needs to be removed for proper grounding for the rest of the electrical system?

Thanks,

Gary

Sort of difficult to explain. It goes through a hole behind the rear/left/top bolt and goes behind the lock washer of that bolt. Clean any area that a part fender/head light bucket/tail light bracket/coil mtg brackets and a couple of engine mount areas will touch. ...........emo

Grounding wire

Ed, I'm not seeing a hole in the frame behind the left rear top engine bolt. Does it go on the left rear top engine mounting bolt itself, behind the lock washer?

Maybe its just the way I read your answer. Like you said, sort of difficult to explain.

Thanks,

There is a 1 inch round hole just to the rear of the top rear mount bolt location. ................lm
