For the black, it is switched 12v as normal. This attaches to the + terminal on the turn signal relay. The gray should be the load coming back from the turn signal switch. This connects to the L terminal on the winked relay. You can even use new turn relays from the local auto parts store. Should be a 2 terminal round relay. I think it is a Tridon 55X (can't remember what the 3rd digit is).

I understand and I will say this isn't a BMW or a European issued bike.
The 305 denotes after issue and the extra wires are from a harness which only the
last few bikes shipped to the USA had.
Check your frame for the flasher mount as it was/is on the left side across from the battery.
So the REPOP has the turn signal wires. ...................lm

In my 30 years of playing with old bikes I have never heard of a Factory part being called a repop. In the BMW world, repop refers to a part reproduced by someone other than the factory. Just a semantic difference.
In any event I am glad that Honda saw fit to add the wires to this harness as it certainly made my life much easier! :-)

Ed,
You can call it whatever you want. But it is an NOS HONDA PART and NOT A REPOP. American, European, or Japanese, it still means the same thing!
Well anyway I am off to the huge AMCA Show in Rhinebeck New York to go hunting for NOS parts!!

If it's not a repop and ya say it's a NOS HONDA PART (which is correct) when was it made and by who?
Repop when used by those of us who have known these bikes for many years means "Reproduced after the supply at hand was used up".
Nothing to do with After Market.
If it's a After Market part being discussed we more often than not refer to it as an AM part.
Hope ya can get some treasures at the show. .......................lm

Ed,
Repop is not a term exclusive to the Honda 305 range. It is a generic term used among many many different arenas, whether old bikes, old cars, old tractors, etc.
The harness was made by Honda, probably sometime after 1967 or 68. You even said yourself that Honda fitted these harnesses to the very last of the range. And then it was probably the only harness available through the supply chain, or at least that is how BMW would have handled it.
In the vintage BMW world, repop is not a term anyone uses to discuss any factory part. It is reserved just for an aftermarket supplier made part. Like I said originally, I think this is just a semantic difference.
Now can you or anyone supply me with the PN# for the right hand switch with the turn signal built in? I think it was a Japanese market item as it is not listed in the Parts manual I found on this site. One just sold on ebay item # 110542590105.
The show @ Rhinebeck was GREAT! Though I didn't see one Superhawk and only one CL77 that was in the show. It was over restored but still pretty. Looks like it hasn't even been run on the road. Next year I will bring my Superhawk to at least have one there! :-)
TIA, Phil

Not much CB/CL72/77.
Ya never know what will show up for sure.
As any group will use several words and have different meaning so goes repop.
It may interest ya to know that HONDA didn't make the harness.
They bid them out and sold them just as they assembled bikes but in actuality manufactured very few actual parts if any. ...............lm

Phil,
35250-268-820 for a CB72 / 77
35250 is for right side switch assy's, 35300 is for left side switch assy's (in the case of a CB72, but this appears also suitable for other models as well. 268 is for CB72, and 820, like 600, 610, 620, 670 a.o are country / special model designations (in this case of switch assy's).
This p/n is given in p/m nr. 1 and nr. 2 (I didn't look further, two p/m seems to be enough)
