Mike, the OP identified his horn button wire as "aqua green". Therefore I am using his color descriptor to identify the wire that I would like disconnected and tested.

Ed,

He is getting power to the horn. Those two black harness wires that connect to the horn, only one is to be hot, the other gets fed by the circuit through the horn, but it's not connected. He noted the disconnected wire was hot, why would that be? If he is using the correct hot black wire to feed the horn, the only reason for the other black wire to be hot is if he has power going to that wire in the headlight bucket where the horn button wire is supposed to be connected. I am also trying to look in the headlight bucket and see where his power connections are coming from the ignition switch double female green connector. I thought giving him some clear photos of how the connections are supposed to be done might help him figure it out. We are at a disadvantage with that mess of non-color coded wires/connections in the bucket.

That is some mess for sure.
From what I see a wire was installed by someone that bypasses that cut Black wire.
I don't see a spare Black wire in the headlight.?
Maybe he can get a VOM and trace it end to end.?. ................lm

I appreciate everything you guys are doing, especially with poor pictures. I need to take time and draw out what's connected to what because it sounds like my headlight bucket wiring is a mess.

This came already chopped up so I've been doing my best to try to remedy it. Places where you guys say female connectors are are male connectors or no connecters, etc.

Actually, Tom you have some good suggestions that I'll test as soon as I can. I know there's a double green coming off my ignition but only one wire plugging into it currently and I think I might've plugged a ground wire into it immaturely. But, I won't know until I look at it.

If your harness is that hacked up you should probably be searching ebay for an unmolested one.
It would save you tons of work.

I just bought a good used harness on eBay, hopefully that will help.

I'll keep everyone updated.
