Hi Vince...
Can you tell how to determine if the magnet is already weak?
When i place a screwdriver beside it, it still sticks to the magnet but doesn't need much force to pull it off...is this a sign of a weak magnet?
Last night I just assembled my CB77. the magnet would easly pick up a 1/2" drive ratchet and 14m deepwell socket. It seemed to be a very strong magnet force. It is on a 1961 Super Hawk. Just to let you know for compairason.

Yesterday, I bought an NOS stator for the Dream...but when i came home and compared it to my old one, it didn't seem to be the right one.

The NOS one i got had a slightly narrower body but has the same diameter.
The most obvious difference are the wires- my old one has only three wires connected to the stator...the NOS I got has 5 wires.

Did i make a mistake?

I got this rectifier. Vendor says this can be used for the Dream 305

If this is true, which wires go where?

Tell the vendor that if it can be used "how bout a wiring sheet" to show where the wires will connect to your 3 wire stater. ..........................lm
