I think it would be as simple as tying the yellow and pink from the stator together to one of the yellow wires on the reg/rec and brown to the other yellow. Red and black from the reg/rec to pos and neg.
The wiring confuses me.
My stator has yellow, pink, and brown.
How did you figure that out?

You can look at the wiring diagram or at the wires exiting the stator. The green/red is the neutral switch.

Yes I see those.
But how do you figure out how to connect them to a reg./rec. that has 4 wires not matching in colour?

Brown is the common wire from the stator. Yellow comes from one set of stator coils. Pink comes from two sets of stator coils (used with light on).

Regulator should have one wire to battery - two wires for stator input. Brown to one - tie the yellow and pink together to get full stator output and connect to remaining terminal. Make sure whatever you are using has a GOOD ground and I usually use a heat sink. (Visit the local computer repair place they usually have old heat sinks laying around).

Make sure all wires are firmly connected.
