Ignore my PM about 'CB' or 'CL', Reb; I see it's a CL. Remind me, did this just 'happen' or had you been working on it?

It looks like there's a black wire missing that goes into the headlamp. I'm not too familiar with the CL, but I believe, from the wiring diagram, that there's a black wire from term IG to the coils and another to the lighting switch in the headlamp (on the CL also?).

But, you say, that just 'jumping' terminals BA & IG in the keyswitch gives you full-on functions, right?

Do you have a test meter or a test lamp? With a meter on 'continuity test' (beep or ohms range), disconnect the battery neg cable and dis both terminals BA & IG, then check for continuity between said terminals with the key 'ON'; you should get a beep on the meter or 0.0 ohms on resistance range (near as damn-it). If you have just a test lamp, leave the wiring in place, clip one end of the lamp to batt neg and check on terminal 'IG' for a light.

Get back here with results please.

Picture is blurry and hard to see wiring details. Ther should be two black wires on the same terminal. One comes from wiring harness A and the other from wiring harness B. If that all looks good, a clearer picture please.

Wow, this is an old post but i'm having the same problem with a superhawk. What wires did you jump on the back of the switch to get things working? I'd like to try that just to see if i'm having the exact same problem as you are. (you jumped the wire and then everything came on with the key correct)

My bike is back together after being apart for about 2 years, it's looking great. I turned the key, and the starter started spiing but nothing else worked. The started switch was stuck, so i'm not worried about that. My concern now is that nothing else worked. No lights, no horn.

Brian
