I've tried to get my '66 Superhawk running for a long time now. I wanna ride it!
Latest issue is with the electrical. It was blowing fuses when I turned the engine over even after an new wiring harness was installed. I've looked at the wiring at the switches and terminals and there seems to be no grounding at any of them. I ran in to another problem with the ignition switch last time I messed with it where two wires were touching at the connection points of the switch, causing the lights to be brighter and non-responsive to switch position changing. When I separated the wires, nothing worked on any switch position.
Do I need a new switch now? After that, any tips on where to look for the short?

Stator grounding out perhaps? Check each wire with an OHM meter one side to wore, one side to motor, and make sure there's no conntinuity. The green w/ red stripe is nuetral wire and will / should have continuity in nuetral. Also good be a bad rectifier. Do a search here for replacement options.
