i hooked up may starter button, and with the key on as soon as i touch it to the handlebars the starter fires
Whats up with that.

The starter button works by grounding out the hot wire coming from the solenoid. so...the wire to your starter buttom is likely grounding even when button's not pushed. I used a puddle of "liquid electric tape" to solve same problem with mine. Hope this helps --Lee

This do the trick for you dlobby? I'm having the same problem after replacing a twisted set of bars. Hope this does it!

I slid a piece of shrink wrap on mine and it did the trick-
