starter button wire connection.

Post by mike1969 » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:27 am

I recently replaced the throttle cable on my Dream. When I took the assembly apart the yellow w/red stripe starter wire fell out. There is no sign of any solder or anyway to see how it was attached.

How do I attach the wire? Is it supposed to be soldered to the brass strip or attached to the screw?

It should be connected to a terminal which the starter button contacts to ground the wire. The terminal is insulated from everything else....it may still be in the housing

Finally got it figured out. I went to Bike Bandit website which showed where the wire had to be connected. They have a parts manual with blowups and parts # of all sections of Dreams.

If anyone needs the blow ups go to bike bandit and look up 1961 Honda ca77.
