Lights. I have none.Well, I'm going to feel like a right idiot if the only problem here is the blown bulbs. I guess I pretty much discounted that as an option since I had seem them both working before I trailered it home a few hours - I didn't think it was likely that they had both blown between then and the next day when I fired it up.
Tail/brake bulb replacement showed me that I was probably wrong on that. Although it seems like only the tail filament is working, I don't get any additional light from applying the brake. Perhaps I need a different bulb in there. I will try the multimeter on the headlight I guess. I guess I should start looking for a sealed beam whether I need it now or not, as I'm sure to need it eventually. I'll hope to have it sorted shortly, thanks for the assistance.
Hey Susan, headlight bulb here, but not sure if it will serve your beam unit correctly; check out the pics:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-C7 ... 0303880735 This flange type is known as APF (American Pre-Focus). Honda also used Bosch BA20 (offset 'chad' pins -- looks a bit like an overgrown stop/tail bulb) -- and sealed beam units. Rgds, Steve Thanks Steve - it's a sealed beam...ugh.
I'm not so keen on dropping a bundle on a NOS one only because they're pretty old now, I'm not sure how reliable it might be. I'm in the process of trying to figure out how exactly to dremel the bulb out and what to replace it with. If I just attack it with no plan I will make a mess for certain.
