honda ca77 dream headlight and brake light question

Post by LTthisFire » Fri Mar 13, 2009 4:46 pm

So im still learning more and more about my new dream and i realized the other day that the headlight isnt turning on, i turn the key and the speedo lights up, and i also noticed there is no running light action on the back light... Is there a running light on the brake light? And does my dream need to maybe be running for the headlight to work, or is my bulb shot? Also, where can i get a bulb if that is the case? Is it a standard bulb or something im going to have to dig for? Thanks guys!

Fire - there are some old threads on this subject if you take the time to do alittle reading. There may be a post on sources for vintage bulbs. You would have to find one of the headlights that the bulb is replaceable if you want to replace the bulb or cut the old one out .Did you take your light off to see if it works connected right to a 12v source or check it with an ohm meter?I would test the bulb as I mentioned first and if it is ok then move on to wiring etc.I just purchased a H4 35w/35w bulb from Bike Bandit to put in one of the headlights that the bulb is removable. You should have a running light on when the headlight comes on.One bulb for brake and running light.HDlight will turn on when bike is off in the proper key position.
