Hello all,
I was wondering what would happen if you used the wrong fuse on your bike. At some point in time I think I put a higher amp fuse in my bike instead of the 15 amp one needed. I had two bikes at one point and might have used those fuses by mistake.
The other day when I went to the turn the bike off there was a loud bang and the bike wasn't running so it wasn't a backfire. I was just turning it on and off after installing a new battery. Now the bike isn't running, but I am getting it to turn over with the electric start and it kicks over, but it will not start. What should I do/check next.
thanks for any help

Wrong FuseBrian, it probably was a backfire! Pull the plugs, and make sure they aren't fouled, sooty black. If they look good, check for spark. The larger amp fuse shouldn't be a problem, but I would put it back to a 15amp when you get some. Also make sure gas is on, and flowing. There are brass flat head screws on flaot bows to drain them. You can unsrcew these to make sure there's gas in float bowls. Make sure all of the wires got hooked back up to the battery. Call me if you have any other questions.
