Wonky Ignition Switch

Post by Gregg » Sat Jul 12, 2008 10:48 am

The ignition switch on my 66 Dream fails sometimes in the #2 position (daytime). Has anyone ever taken the switch apart to check the innards or is it best to get a new one? Are there any sources for a NOS switch? Need a headlight bulb also (only have low beam). Thanks Gregg

Are you looking for the whole headlight or do you have one with a replaceable bulb. There are some posts on here somehwere about what bulbs are being used as replacements that can be adapted.Joe

Joe..I just need the bulb. I have read all the posts about the different ideas of replacing the original bulb and they are all good ideas. I'm trying to keep my bike as original as possible. If I'm unable to find the correct replacement bulb, I will have no choice but try one of these other ideas. My local Honda dealer actually had a replacement bulb in a box of old honda parts he hadn't thrown out but the high beam filiment was broken. Gregg

Hey Gregg, take a look here on Paul Goff's site:

Paul has 'em all, including 35/35 halogens.

Good luck and regards,

Steve
