Headlight housing wires
Headlight housing wiresI find many wire connectors in the headlight housing not hooked to anything. Just a few female bullet connecters hanging out. What were they for?
Re: Headlight housing wiresColors pink and light blue and another I don't recall at this time are for the turn signals. ..............lm
Re: Headlight housing wiresI do believe so. Thanks guys. Jim
Re: Headlight housing wiresThe spare colours you should have are orange, light blue & grey. The l/bl & gy are repeated beneath the seat where the stop/tail connectors exit the harness; l/bl is right trafficator, orange is left. At the engine harness junction beneath the air boxes there is a pair of unused receptacles also, which need extending to connect to a flasher unit: black & grey; blk is +12v (ign on) and gy is the lamps' supply via the trafficator switch. Most flasher units are marked thus: X = +12v, L = lamps, P = pilot. P can be ignored unless you wish to install a mimic lamp somewhere in the headlamp or buzzer beneath the seat(?). The trafficator switch connects to the 3 receptacles in the headlamp: gy to centre, l/bl for right & or for left. The or & l/bl are double receptacles allowing connection of the switch and the front winkies. Hope this clarifies. Regards, Steve
