tire size questiontire size questionHi,
I'm going to buy a new set of tires for my cb72. My choice is the bridgestone bt45. In the front I would use a 90/90. Unfortunately they don't make the 3.00 size for the back. So I was wondering has anyone ever tried a 110/90 for the rear tire? I have measured the rear fender and I guess it would just fit in. regards Kristof After some research I only found the avon roadrider am26 in a 100/90 rear version.
Dunlop, michelin, bridgestone has them but only for the front tire. Are there other options? Avon, metzeler,... are not that easy to find here.

Hi,
Michelin M45, 3.00/18, 3,25/18 or 2,75/18. Price is around 50 Euro each. Bridgestone BT45 : 90/90 front, 100/90 front and 110/80 or 110/90 rear, prices in the range of 100 euro each I checked my bike and made the tire smaller with a grinder, I took off 4 mm per side, so the total with is 100 mm. Then it JUST fits in the rear mudguard. I don't recommend this method, so I would go for the michelin rear / front, or 90/90 front Bridgestone and M45 rear. I don't have any experiences with the avon's. The BT45's are the best tires to use, but the Michelin isn't bad either (but not so good as the BT45's)., I also have a CB72 with a 3,5/18 pirrelli rear tire. It fits, and measures 90 mm. Jensen assembly of Japanese motorcycles requires great peace of mind (Pirsig)
