Posted elsewhere but it seems to have been moved or removed. Perhaps this is the correct place to post this, as I want to help others avoid unnecessary headache and heartache:
To avoid lost parts, lost time and lost money DO NOT USE ALUMIN-ART PLATING IN ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA. This company does not care a wit about the quality of their work, or about customers' property.
The only way I could have had a worse experience with these clowns is if they lost my ENTIRE lot of CB77 parts, instead of just a few items. The parts I did get back were incorrectly plated, and that plating was flaking off in my hands. I found several parts in my lot that belonged to someone else, including AN 8-FOOT LENGTH OF HEAVY CHAIN. How this company stays in business is beyond me.
No apologies, no explanations, no attempt to do the right thing on their part.
They were happy and quick to take my money, angry at ME when I made them give it back. I am still absolutely flabbergasted at the entire experience.
