Polishing Windshields?

Post by obscure44 » Thu Aug 07, 2008 11:19 pm

My Dream has a windshield identical to the one shown in this picture:

Although it's very original and low miles (8k), the plastic has gotten a little foggy over the years. Anyone recommend anything to polish this back to clear?

Thanks!!
David

You can try Novus plastic polish. I've used it and it does work. It comes in three "grits". 1 is just a cleaner polish, 2 is medium polish and 3 is for really heavy scratches.

Don't know if this will necessarily get rid of the fog you're talking about, but if you want to go the budget route, try Pledge spray furniture polish. I used to have a classic wooden boat with a Taylor Made plastic windshield, and all the vintage boat guys I knew would use Pledge.
