question

on my dream the badges only say dream on them,they are in good shape but have never seen any others on bikes or for sale.are they special or did the factory run out of 305 dream badges and just throw some oddball ones on mine?

There were badges that had "Dream 250", and badges that had "Honda 300"(also used on the CB and CL77's) and then there were finally the universal ones that just said "Dream". Does not seem there were ever any made that said "305".

My 5 cents worth is that there was the HONDA DREAM followed with badges which sort of stated the bike size more than the model.
I don't think any bikes sent to the USA in the late 50's and 1960 had the HONDA DREAM badges.
HONDA Dream 250 was on ALL the 250 bikes of that engine size such as Dream, Scrembler , HAWK.
The 305 bikes had HONDA Dream 300 for the same bikes.
For all I can find the badges lost the Dream somewhere around 1964 and showed "HONDA 250" and "HONDA 300".
After the finish of production of these bikes HONDA issued the STEEL badges with the WING and Honda.
Now I'm aware of folks who may think HONDA did make GOLD and SILVER tone badges through the years however I am of the opinion that ALL BADGES were issued as GOLD only and that sun and shop lights or any ultraviolet lights faded the GOLD to SILVER. ..................emo
