CB77 Exhaust Question

Post by honda carl » Thu Mar 11, 2010 1:11 pm

I just joined the forum and need some advice.

I have an opportunity to purchase an exhaust set for my 67 CB77. Each side is one piece (header pipe and mufflers are not separate) and include mounting plates and baffles. They are in excellent condition with only minor blemishes. The best price for the set is $550 and with shipping would be about $600 or so. I've seen new reproductions mufflers go for about $1K and stainless steel mufflers for $800.

So, is this a reasonable deal for nice original exhaust? Any other options? Thanks for any help.

Carl, sounds like a fair price, and buying them will probably save you the frustration of shopping for set on Ebay for the next year or so! Just be sure there's no rot, or soft spots on the mufflers.
