I had all the non-chromed nuts, bolts, and washers from the frame and engine of my 64 CA77 cad plated and clear chromated here in Houston about a year ago, $50 + $10 EPA charge for the lot. Here a lot is considered whatever will fit in their rotary basket. They don't hang every piece by a wire like larger parts. Basket rotates and tumbles the parts in the plating solution. Saw it on TV once but they won't let you back in the tank rooms because of the liability. Am taking 6 spoke sets, 2 frame fastener sets and 1 engine set this friday. I will let you know the price. I glass bead blast all cad plated parts here first. All rust and stains gone. The place is Del's Plating ( www.delsplating.com ). They counted every piece in front of me to make sure they all came back. I have my chroming and nickel plating done at Speed and Sport Chrome Plating also in Houston. Prices are resonable and quality the best. Examples Rims (pretty rough shape) $175+tx, kick start $50 and knuckle $15, axles and swing arm bolt $20 ea., brake arms at wheels $25 ea., front suspension bolts $1.50 ea. Spoke nipples stripped nickel plated $1.00 ea. More than satisified with the service. What are your experiances, prices?
