Seat Color

What color seat should a 1962 blue CA77 have, blue or black?

The seat colors were chosen according to buyer preference. Dealers would get one whatever color seat he chose. I've seen blue with red that were allegedly all original, albeit pretty darn ugly.
My preference would be black, but any color would be acceptable as far as original options are concerned.

I personally would only put a blue seat on a blue bike. Black would look just as well and nobody would even know if it were original or not. My blue CB160 has a blue seat. Just my thoughts.

Hi,

In the Netherlands a blue dream has a blue seat, a black dream has a red seat, a red dream had a black seat. This is just the way these machines where pictured in the ad's, here in the Netherlands there was no choice what seat you wanted (as far as I know).

White dreams where never sold here in the Netherlands, all white dreams here are imported from the USA, or painted white in the years.

If I remember right in the 60ties you didn't get a choice, in motorcycles or cars. You just picked a model that the dealer had on the lot.
