I do the whole thing.
Blast and paint and the only things I don't is chrome and bore job. ...................lm

I farm out my prep work and have parts bead-blasted.

I paint myself using a small compressor and HVLP spray guns.

Hey guys,

I'm about to start tearing down my project bike. I desire to have it professionally painted but I'm open minded about painting is myself if I could get nice results.

One thing I don't want to do is prep. Is sand blasting the best way to have parts prepped?

For those who have painted themselves, do you use a compressor sprayer?

ive found the easiest way to get old paint off is to use paint stripper..its faster, you just have to wear eye protection and some rubber gloves and scrap the gunk onto newspaper and straight into the bin with it
