Honda Dream Engine Cover paint

Dupli-Color CDE1615 indeed seems to be a good choice for the engine side covers. However, I need to paint a starter motor, something I don't dare put into the oven. I've searched the site for any comments about this but to no avail. Does anyone have advice as to what would work well?

Tim,
You don’t necessarily have to bake this paint to make it durable. it’s fuel and oil resistant without baking. It helps cure the paint faster with some heat but I don’t go over 140f. Or just a heat gun.

I have some experience in the paint industry and I remember the baking enamels that we sold being quite soft and delicate before baking. This seems to be a different technology.

Just curious as to opinions on whether the Dupli-Color CDE1615 paint could be used on the cylinder fins and head? Thanks

As far as I know, nothing from the cylinders on up is painted.

Looking at the original '64 CA-77 I have here, I'd say that is correct.
