Picking this up tomorrow, it is a CA95 or a CA160?

Post by Vdubver » Thu May 26, 2011 11:37 am

I found a supposed 1961, not sure if the year is the actual year of the bike, (told here on the forums that it is either a CA95 or CA160) Honda here in Alabama about 3 hours from myself. I have been told that the motor is seized, but I am going to inspect if it is just the kickstart or if the motor is actually seized. He said that the kickstart will not move. It seems like a neat project, seeing as I am into the air-cooled VW scene, I have a 1967 beetle, 1972 Karmann Ghia, and a 1967 Bus. I am excited about it, it will be my first motorcycle. Any tips and things to look out for would be much appreciated. I figured posting would be better than searching endlessly, which I have been doing anyways. I will try and post pics as they come in and after I pick her up for $300 tomorrow.

Well I don't think its a '61. I do think its a CA95.

Fenders have been hacked a bit front and rear and that looks like a CB350 seat.

CA160 and CA95 are quite similar but the CA95 has the can chain on the side. Looks like I can see the cam chain roller bolt on the side of this one.
