Cafe tiresCafe tiresAnyone have a sugestion for good light sticky tires for my CB77 Cafe bike? WM2 front rim, WM3 rear. I'm thinking 90/90 front, and 100/90 rear
I've been a Dunlop K82 (TT100 Lightweights) convert for a couple of years now, but you could contact Wheelhouse Tyres in Birmingham, UK for advice and options. www.wheelhousetyres.com for the full skinny.
I like the red/black combo, btw.
More picsBill, thanks for the interest in the bike ! I puchased Avon Road Rider tires. Really nice tread pattern but they are kinda heavy. About 12lbs rear, and 10Lbs front. I drilled the hubs, and laced up Boranni rims, WM2 front, and WM3 rear, with Buchanonn stainless steel spokes and nipples. It has a CYB top clamp with clip on bars, and a Honda Minitrail headlight. Battery box and fork lock bracket were ground off of frame, wiring harness minimalized, no electric starter. I finally got all of the pieces to do my 520 chain conversion, as this will lighten up drive train, and less rolling resistance. It is a runner and rider, but is still being upgraded as I find parts. I'm still looking for good rear shocks, but man are they spendy! Her's some more pics, and I'd love to hear some comments and suggestions.
