can't find the key for a ca78

I just became a new owner of a ca78 but the previous owner can't find the ignition key. any idea where I might find a replacement or entire ignition assembly? thanks Curt.

Hondakeys.com for keys. Just need the code off of the front of the ignition where the key is inserted.I also had some made at a locksmith. Ebay usually has ignition switches with keys

You may not want to change the keyswitch if you can help it, it is nice to have the key match the frame lock.

All right, you've got me. What is a CA78 and did they make any other versions of it?

ell, I just read elsewhere that it was a numbering system change and only on the frame. I was beginning ti think that there was another bike lineup like the 72 was the 250 and the77 was the 305.

Just a number change between the engine and frame as far as I know.

Thanks Joe, wonder why they did such a thing? To give the bikes a larger range of serial numbers? Thhat's the only thing I can come up with. I mean, usually a number change like that would have meant a different model with a larger size engine (like 72- 250, 77- 305 & so on) Crazy. Well any way thanks again for the input. Sure is a lot better than talking to myself and it gives me a chance to possibly learn something (hard to learn anything when I talk to myself) Later on there, Bill
