What year did metal tank badges replace plastic and the seat logo change to the more modern Honda script

The bikes came with the plastic tank badges. The metal ones were supplied as after issue for the parts counter after the supply of plastic ones ended. Most likely due to cost savings. No idea for the year the metal ones came available at the parts counter.
