Almost ready to hit the road...

Post by LTthisFire » Thu Apr 09, 2009 7:48 pm

So guys, my dream seems to be really close to the road, im putting my new tires on tonight!

Before I hit the road, does anybody have any advice for me on things to check?

Last time i was on here someone said to make sure i "pump grease into all the grease nipples." The PDF manual i have doesnt say anything about this, can someone point me in the right direction or explain this? Thanks!

Well i got the tires off of bikebandit, it was a total headache. I wanted whitewalls but i didnt want to spend over 100 bucks a tire for them, plus lets face it, i live in cleveland ohio, they will be brown walls come july...

I did get burned on a battery i bought, dude told me it was the right size, get it on the bike, cant fit the cover back on, so i need to order a new one stat...

But i was able to get it out and cruising today! This is my first bike, so im still learning everything, but i love it. The clutch seems kind of difficult, seems to only engage real late in the release.... My friend thinks that is just how the old bikes work, any truth to that?

Definitely got tons of looks on it today!

But you can never be too safe!

sharp lookin bike ! i think from your explanation your clutch point is properly set.
My best advice, from my limited riding, is drive defensively. seems carpeople take alot more liberty in pulling out in front of me on my dream than me on my durango. bike people sit and let me pass to take a better look ; )
