I hope someone remembers me..66 woman..just had back surgery in March and a new hipe 2 weeks ago..and I bought 3 Dreams one at a time since December..my husband and my crother in law suprised me by getting one running and bringing it to the front yard when I got home from the hospital..I went outside and watched them ride it around the yard..I am attempting to attach a picture of me "propped" up againt the bike..and I may post a video if I can figure out how..just wanted to say NEVER NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS..Bikes or otherwise..if and when I can throw my leg over this bike I wilol ride it..if only around the yard..I just love these bikes..
We are arguing about the paint..manily the silver for engine etc..wanted to let some know that I bought the Krylon Dull Aluminum 1403 spray paint right off the shelf of the Ace Hardware store were we work..Krylon makes a lot of Ace paint, but this is actually a Krylon can..so it can be ordered through any Ace store..anyone needs the SKU let me know. Still Chuck husband says it is not the right color..despite all of Bill SIlvers books and CD..we are tussling about that choice..rather do a polish like Paul did (my hero) but not set up yet to do that..I want to paint this white and it is black right now..hope it will work..in fact all 3 bikes are black but only 1 will stay that way..guess I need 1 more to have one of each color..opinions on silver greatley appreceated I have read restoration forum..Marge
Dream come true finallyDream come true finally
Re: Dream come true finallyThat silver is correct for the left and right engine side cases. It works well because when the cases require touch up (and they will) the new paint will not show a different shade when dry. ..............lm
RIDE IT DON'T HIDE IT!
Hi Marge . Happy to know your up and about and following through with your Dream. When it comes to detail on these old bikes I do what pleases me and only me and so far everyone who views my stuff likes it. My advice is to do what you think will look good in your eyes and you'll feel much better about it.
Great post. Keep posting. I don't get over here much but when I do I hope to see more pics of your Dream. Stay well. Paul 1964 CT200
