You mention oil bubbling from the head and pooling on the crankcase.

Where on the head did you see oil bubbling out of and where was the oil collecting? The pictures show oil on the front of the motor above the exhaust ports which indicates that oil was escaping from somewhere higher than the gasket.

Please post pictures of where it leaked from

Hey, Teazer.

Sorry for the delay. Long Labor Day weekend.

I've attached a shot of where the leaks are coming from. The red arrows indicate specifically where the oil's coming from. Actually, they're also seeping out of the cylinder head gasket now, too. I took the bike in this morning to have it checked out.

Mine did this in exactly the same place. Oil would then gather on the exhaust collar and run down the header causing quite a bit of smoke. In no time at all I blew a head gasket. When I went to disassemble the engine I found that the PO never torqued down the head nuts- they were just slightly past finger tight!

That's a likely suspect, House. Lots of oil hitting the collars and pipes. The guy who I work with on it is really quite good. Might've been an oversight.

Hey, all. An update...

Head gasket was ripped and had shifted. Just gotta re-weld the right pipe to the frame and we'll be fine. Appreciate all of you chiming in. Thanks.
