Take off the head, remove the cam. Lap the valves and try again.....
You're halfway there. Never tried it, but it seems like a good method.

I took the head off today and cleaned it up, tried beating on the pistons again just because, but still no joy.
I'm thinking about taking the two halves of a Campbells soup can and cutting it in two, putting some sort of 'wick' in there and lighting a fire on them just to see if I can get them to expand a bit...or, conversely, getting some dry ice and seeing if I can get them to Shrink a bit...
Along those lines, do you think Freezing it would do anything? I also think Monday I'm going to give my engine guy a call - he runs a shop mostly for cars, but always seems intrigued whenever I show up with an old bike part - he did the heads on my CA95, and I really would like to get the pistons out in one piece, although at this point, I don't know if that's going to happen....they're still OK, not cracked or anything, but they might be toast - I just don't know yet.
