Either the parts book is wrong on this or I've got a weird tank.

Measuring the one screw I managed to remove intact it was 5mm, so I picked up some 5mm .08 thread at Home Depot, still no good. Evidently they are actually 5mm JIS, I have some on order from McMaster-Carr and will report when I receive them.

Ya asked a question and I answered.
Near as I know almost all the screws are 6mm and only a few are JIS and these 3 are not them. ...........lm

Actually I didn't ask, marcb9999 did. I am simply stating what I have on my bike.

And on my bike, the petcock screws are not 6mm.

Sorry bout that! What sort of washers were under them? As the CL72/77 valves are mounted with 2 screws I looked at the book/fiche and to my surprise the screws and washers are not shown. ..............lm

LOL, no problem LM!

There were some red washers made of some sort of fiber material, and they all came apart on disassembly.

My parts book dated Oct 20, 1968 shows 93500-06025 as you stated. My June 20, 1960 parts book shows part number JP524 (5x24).

My Dream is a 66 model, and it has the late tank with a seam so it "should" have what the later parts book calls for, the 6 x 25mm. But it doesn't, for what reason I have no idea.
