Any pictures of rear fender guard for CA77 out there?

Post by onchiman » Tue May 18, 2010 11:36 am

I have this rear fender guard for a Honda Dream. I'm going to send it out for re-chroming but have to repair it first. There is a piece that broke off and is lost in time. It seems as though it was a flat strip of metal that reached the fender and bolted on with one bolt. I'm looking for a picture of one so I can fabricate a new piece. I suspect someone tried to lift the bike by the guard and bent/broke off the mount. Thanks

Here is a very muddy photo of one I found online a while ago, it seems like the tab extended out like yours then bent up at an angle to hold it away from the fender

Attached is the front fender bumper as well, you might get a feel of how they were installed

Thanks for the pics. I can't quite make out the rear attachment as my eyesight isn't what it used to be.

Here is a bike with the fender guard I found somewhere (It probably belongs to someone on this forum. I save every picture of every 305 dream I find for reference and screensavers ). It's small but maybe you can enlarge it. Jeff
Looking at the few photos here, the bumper looks to be almost level with the bottom of the fender. I would attach your broken bumper to your bike , position it where it should be, mark the fender where it should attach, measure and fabricate/weld/grind/polish/chrome...etc. Looks pretty straight forward. Good luck again.
