Thought i'd post this, a little squirt of starter fluid, and success! Bike hasnt turned over in decades, i bought it from a collector whos just been sitting on it!

That is one hell of a nice garage.

It is always nice when you can have a test run inside!!

Don't forget to change the oil and pump grease into all the grease nipples.
then check the points.

The oil needs to be at the top line when the dip stick is unscrewed, not when it is screwed in.

oh and don't just use any old 30 weight oil, you need one that is a non-detergent straight 30 weight, or something that is at least designed for use with a wet clutch.
Otherwise you may ruin your clutch plates first go...

thanks for the advice! Also that garage is my loft! I live in a 5,000 square foot warehouse/loft space with a harley and triumph owner!

Bill Silvers 305 engine repair guide says that you should use a top quality 10-30W detergent oil.
