honda dream ca77e

ca77e is stamped on the bike with the vin num. however i am trying to find out what year it is does the e mean early and how can i find out the year i was told it was a 67 and the bike has only 13364 miles on it and has sat in my grandfathers house for 30 years the liscence plate is 1978 any help would be greatly appreciated

The numbers after the CA77E will help determine the year.

There's also serial number stamped on the engine case, near the oil filler cap.
