A pic of my Dream, ready for summer!A pic of my Dream, ready for summer!Haven't made a post in a long time, just posting up a pic of my 1968. All tuned up and set on go.
My thanks to all that post up how-to information on this forum.
Re: A pic of my Dream, ready for summer! Thanks Muddy, much appreciated comment.
Re: A pic of my Dream, ready for summer! The original seat has been stored away for many years, to nice to ride on. So, I placed a solo seat, a luggage rack fabbed out of one off a trail 90, a '68 Buco windscreen, and a set of '68 Wixom Ranger saddlebags.
I recently noticed the OEM seat foam was deteriorating and the vinyl was stiff. So I put it back on, may as well get some use out of it. Removed the bags and windscreen as well.
Re: A pic of my Dream, ready for summer!that looks great!
when small men begin to cast long shadows it's a sure sign the sun is setting
Re: A pic of my Dream, ready for summer!Thank you, much appreciated!
With the extra time I have on hand now, I'm continuing to tinker with it. The OEM air cleaner looked good but after replacing it with the cone type it runs much better. Polished out the carb covers, touched up the clutch and kick start covers. Fabbed up a front mudguard fender plate, brackets on order from India, should be here in about a month or so. I'll get some new pics up soon, love it! Re: A pic of my Dream, ready for summer! The OEM rear shocks are worn out. I took them apart and started to place some rubber shims to tighten them up a bit.
Ended up buying Harley Sportster lowering shocks to mount up instead. It works out great and they have adjustment.
