Rear Sprocket question 1966 CL77

Post by bosscat » Sun Aug 21, 2016 6:40 pm

I bought a new 37 tooth rear sprocket for my 1966 CL77.

When I got ready to install it the center is too large & the bolt pattern is too large as well.

I haven't had any luck trying to locate a smaller version.

Does anyone know of a source for this type of sprocket?

Thanks,

Daryl

I have no idea.

How would I determine that.

I would guess it would be small brake since the old sprocket has a smaller hole and bolt pattern than the new one.

The original sprocket has a center hole a little over 80 mm in diameter.

If I remember right the new one is more like 87 mm in diameter

Looking at the brake backing plate you will have either one or two levers with a rod between them. ........lm
